Homeopathic Remedies for Seasonal Allergies: Traditional Support
As a person who formerly had a ton of seasonal allergies with a very itchy/runny nose:
I can attest to exactly how miserable they can be.
Then I discovered a little remedy called Allium Cepa.
Let’s just say, it was goodbye itchy/runny nose!
Here are homeopathic remedies traditionally associated with seasonal allergies:
1. Allium Cepa
My personal hero. This remedy is great for allergies that change with the seasons (ie: Spring and Fall hay fever) that mostly effect your nose with lots of runny nose/sinus issues.
2. Apis
Rather than the usual sinus type of allergy, this is for allergies that are suddenly brought on in response to something external. Such as grass making you get hives, bee or insect stings, pet dander, etc.
3. Histaminum
This is a sarcode that can be taken to effectively help balance the histamine levels in the body. It can offset allergic reactions including hay fever, hives, mosquitos bites, or any sort of skin reaction with swelling.
4. Euphrasia
Similar to Allium Cepa, except it is for the seasonal allergies/hay fever that instead mostly effects your eyes. Those needing this will have very irritated, watery and itchy eyes.
5. Dulcamara
For allergies that are strongly effected by sudden changes in weather. Can have a lot of sneezing with sinus issues, and eye irritation.
6. Nat Mur
For allergies strongly centered in the sinus, that can have almost like an egg-white like consistency. Usually coupled with a lot of sneezing and a headache.
7. Ars Alb
For allergies that have a burning quality, such as burning eyes, or burning sinuses. Can have a lot of sneezing, and be coupled with anxiety.
8. Sabadilla
For allergies that make the roof of your mouth itchy. Can have lots of nasal discharge, and lots of intense sneezing.
9. Wyethia
Similar to Sabadilla with the itchy roof of the mouth, however instead of lots of discharge this is associated with intense dryness of the sinuses/mouth/throat.
10. Kali Bich
For allergies involving lots of post nasal drip, sneezing, and very thick almost “rope like” nasal discharge.
