Feeling Stuffy?

Fullness in the face? Hard time falling asleep? Blocked on one side?

When congestion hits, it can be not only uncomfortable but irritating!

From thick and ropy, to green and goopy these remedies will provide you with quick relief!

HERE ARE homeopathic REMEDIES traditionally ASSOCIATED WITH nasal CONGESTION:

Note for parents: while we discuss traditional support for respiratory comfort, congestion is often the body’s way of clearing an irritant. Please seek immediate medical attention if congestion is accompanied by difficulty breathing, wheezing, a persistent high fever, or if your child is struggling to stay hydrated.

1. Kali Bich:

This remedy is indicated for very thick, ropy, seemingly stuck nasal discharge or post-nasal drip. Mucus can be drawn out in strings. Discharges can be lumpy and green.

2. Kali Mur:

This cell salt is associated with any kind of nasal congestion or discharge. Can be added to any congestion regimen but is specifically indicated for thick white nasal discharges that may also be associated with earache and sore throat.

3. Pulsatilla:

For nasal congestion or discharge that is green, can be coupled with an ear infection and lack of thirst. Often will complain that the congestion is more stopped up at night and flows more easily during the morning. Open air will help to ease symptoms, and a warm room will tend to make things worse. A loss in sense of smell may also indicate a need for this remedy. Emotionally may be more weepy/clingy/needing support.

4. Nux Vom:

Symptoms typically begin after cold, dry weather. Congestion can feel dry and blocked, with a heavy head and irritability. Discharges can be clear and watery as well as feeling worse at night.

5. Silicea:

For very hard or dry nasal congestion that can crust in the nose. Nose can feel painfully dry or obstructed in the morning. Frequent but ineffective sneezing.

6. Ars Alb:

For congestion with any type of burning quality. Nasal discharge can be watery and cause reddening of the nose or lips. Throat may feel dry and have a desire todrink frequent sips of cold water.

7. Hepar Sulph:

Similar to Kali Bich with very thick and ropy discharge, but often has a sharp splinter like type of pain quality.
