Focusing: Traditional Homeopathic Supports

Here are the homeopathic remedies traditionally associated with Focusing:
1. Zincum Met:
This remedy is for issues focusing in restless children. They may have a tendency to repeat back what is asked, rather than answering the question.
2. Lycopodium:
For issues focusing in children who are “bossy” and tend to have digestive issues. Many ailments may be worse between the hours of 4-8pm. They also tend to urinate often. Can struggle with learning and they can be prone to confusion.
3. Stramonium:
For issues focusing in sensory sensitive children who have a tendency to be prone to night terrors. May also show signs of explosive outbursts of anger or rage that can be destructive.
4. Baryta Carb:
Issues focusing in delayed children, and may also be short-statured with issues learning. It may appear as being unable to retain information such as reading a topic over and over again, without recollection. This state can be sensitive to cold weather, and a history of tonsilitis.
5. Gelsemium:
Issues with focus in those who have chronic fatigue or exhaustion. The brain may have a feeling of being “empty” when trying to concentrate. May also include bouts of anticipatory anxiety which can lead to digestive unrest.
6. Kali Phos:
A remedy and a cell salt that helps with focus issues from stress. May have an aversion to meeting people and want to be alone. Can become irritable with exhaustion and be “black and white” / “right or wrong” with their thinking.
7. Clematis:
Clematis is a Bach flower essence that promotes focus. Typical suggestion is 2 drops 4x a day.
